(Green Bay) The Northeast Wisconsin Technical College Educational Foundation has announced a valuable scholarship opportunity available to NWTC students and recent NWTC graduates.
In the spring of 2010, the Jack Kent Cooke Foundation (JKCF), through its Undergraduate Transfer Scholarship Program, plans to award approximately 30 scholarships of up to $30,000 each to help two-year college students and grads pursue four-year degrees at any accredited college or university.
Awards will provide funding for tuition, room and board, required fees, and books for the length of the undergraduate degree, generally two years. Each award can total up to $30,000 annually, though the amounts will vary based on such factors as the cost of the institution each recipient attends.
Only two-year college students, and alumni who have graduated within the past five years and not yet attended a four-year institution, may compete for the scholarships. Scholarship candidates must be nominated by the faculty representative at their two-year institution.
To be nominated by NWTC, contact the NWTC Foundation Office by December 11: sandra.kraft@nwtc.edu; (920) 498-5426 or (800) 422-NWTC, extension 5426. For more information about the Jack Kent Cooke Foundation and the Undergraduate Transfer Scholarship Program, go to www.jkcf.org.
