Tuesday, September 29, 4-8 p.m., Green Bay campus

Green Bay Area automotive technicians and professionals will get the chance to check out the latest in tools, diagnostics, and equipment when the Snap-on NO COMPROMISE TOUR™ rolls onto Northeast Wisconsin Technical College’s Green Bay campus next week.

The public is invited to join NWTC students and staff for this free event, Tuesday, September 29, from 4 to 8 p.m.., in Parking Lot B. In addition to interactive tool demonstrations and displays, tour visitors won’t want to miss seeing Snap-on’s show car, the Glo-mad™ ’57 Chevy.

“Today’s vehicles are in many ways computers on wheels,” said Randy Smith, NWTC associate dean, Trades and Technical. “They require computerized diagnostics and technicians who have the necessary training in order to efficiently and effectively use this diagnostic equipment. The Snap-on tour is a great opportunity for the members of the community to view and demo some of this great equipment.”

NWTC recently strengthened its long-time working partnership with Snap-on Tools by becoming a host of the Snap-on Certification Center training program. Over the summer, the college remodeled its auto service lab, adding five new Snap-on diagnostic systems.

“The working partnership that NWTC and Snap-on has developed over the years continues to be the connecting point for our Automotive Technology and Automotive Technician students to be exposed to the most up-to-date diagnostic procedures and equipment,” said Smith. “As NWTC and Snap-on Tools move forward in a formal business partnership, students and technicians from around Northeast Wisconsin will be able to be exposed to the latest in automotive diagnostic technology.”
