NWTC offers one-day training in a career tied to innovation
GREEN BAY – Local women are invited to spend a day at Northeast Wisconsin Technical College this month to learn about prototyping and design.
The one-day “boot camp” will introduce participants to the knowledge and skills involved in making models of new products, topographical models, architectural models and more. The workshop includes a look at related degree programs and the job market. Women who are unemployed or underemployed, and women who might enjoy precise, creative work are especially encouraged to attend.
“This is a win-win opportunity for local women,” said Betsy Baier, NWTC nontraditional occupation career specialist. “They’ll get a good feel for a great career that they may not have previously considered, and they’ll pick up some practical skills!”
