 10/1/2009

 Ann Malvitz

Conflict resolution, Native American culture, and health/wellness are the themes behind three presentations to be held at Northeast Wisconsin Technical College this month.

Part of the NWTC Student Life Speaker Series, the one-hour presentations will be held from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. in the Student Center Cafeteria on the Green Bay campus. The events are free and open to the public. Registration is not required.

Michael Miller, “Conflict Resolution” – Thursday, October 8 – Miller uses his energy and enthusiasm to captivate audiences from coast to coast. He teaches and encourages people to find satisfaction with their lives and work.

Strong Medicine Band – Wednesday, October 21 – This colorful presentation includes Native languages, culture, stories, legends, and the sounds of blues, rock country, and powwow music.

Deanna Latson, “Eat Right, Feel Good, Look Great” – Tuesday, October 27 – Latson’s lecture is a hard-hitting, nutritionally sound, research-based discussion about food and how it affects the body. Latson began her degree in nutrition when both her parents became ill with life-threatening diseases and Latson herself suffered with an 11-year eating disorder and other health problems.
