Ultrasound Clinic
Thank you for your interest in volunteering your time to help out with our educational ultrasounds. We offer a variety of scans throughout the year. These scans are for educational purposes only and are not meant to diagnose conditions. If there are any areas of concern, we will forward this information on to your physician. Therefore, you must have a primary care provider and a signed consent form on file. You can find the consent forms on this site. We hope that you enjoy the Northeast Wisconsin Technical College experience with our students and staff. The students and staff appreciate your valuable time and are excited for your arrival.
Lab Schedule for Fall 2024
- Appointments last approximately 1 hour.
- Volunteers will report to HS 101 (directions will be available when we contact you) and take a seat in the waiting area outside of the lab until it’s your turn.
OB Ultrasounds
Looking for models between 18 and 28 weeks pregnant.
Scanning includes evaluation of fetal growth, sonographically significant anatomical structures and the uterine environment as well as maternal pelvis. Students will work on developing obstetric sonography skills while evaluating the health and well-being of the fetus and enhancing interpersonal patient care skills with our obstetric models. 3D scanning may also be included, with fetal cooperation. Models should hydrate well the two days prior to their exam, in order to augment the success of their exam and enhance image quality.
- Appointments are available Monday evenings starting August 19 through December 9 starting at 2:45 p.m. through 5:30 p.m. Please contact healthsciences@nwtc.edu for further info.
NOTE: If you are pregnant, we will need a completed consent form, signed by your current obstetric care provider, indicating that you have already had at least one ultrasound with THIS pregnancy.
