This program provides you with the knowledge and practical experience needed for a career as a funeral director and embalmer. Curriculum
The Funeral Services associate degree is a 2-year collaborative program between Milwaukee Area Technical College and Northeast Wisconsin Technical College. Upon graduation, a student will have completed 64 credits.

- Many courses require a final grade "C" or better to transfer credit to 4-year institutions. For transfer purposes, students must also meet the accepting 4-year institution requirements to earn the bachelor's degree with the accepting institution’s major(s).
- Prior to program entry, the completion of General Chemistry (Catalog number 10-806-134) and/or two semesters of a high school, lab-based Chemistry with a grade of C or better AND completion of Algebra II is highly recommended.

Covers measurement, chemical nomenclature, chemical reactions and stoichiometry, atomic structure, gas laws, thermochemistry, chemical bonding and solution chemistry. It provides an overview of topics such as research methods, theoretical perspectives, learning, cognition, memory, motivation, emotions, personality, abnormal psychology, physiological factors, social influences, and development..
