Provides continued development of safe handling skills and basic firearms skills. (Prerequisite: 47-504-589, Civil Firearms Safety-Lvl 1)

Class Notes

  • Students must be 18 to take the class and have successfully completed the NWTC Civilian Firearms Level 1 course. Students must provide 200 rounds of new factory full metal jacket, brass casing ammo in the correct caliber. NWTC will provide the use of a GLOCK 17 9mm pistol; students may bring their person weapon in any of the following calibers: 9mm, .40 caliber, .45 caliber. Upon enrollment, a background check will be performed on each student. Any person prohibited to carry a firearm by law will not be admitted to this class. Students will need an external side holster which covers the trigger guard. Students must wear a belt to class that will support their holster. Class will meet at the NWTC Public Safety Training Center across from the Green Bay Botanical Gardens.
