How can I use this course to achieve my career goals?

This course is associated with the following programs:

What will I learn?

  1. Calculate an image system’s modulation transfer function (MTF) value using its component factors
  2. Compare and contrast medical imaging systems as they are expressed in MTF values
  3. Analyze selected medical images for acceptability using established clinical benchmarks
  4. Demonstrate the proper method(s) for testing medical images using correct instrumentation
  5. Recommend possible corrective measures to bring medical image quality into acceptance
  6. Discuss limitations presented when measuring image quality for selected imaging modalities
  7. Relate medical image quality assessment to clinical outcomes
