Course Description
10-863-306 IEP ADVANCED READING & WRITING 1 ...students will read articles and academic essays, identifying main ideas and details, increasing reading fluency, developing inferencing skills, and discussing readings in groups. Students will also critically examine articles to produce academic essays, utilizing the writing process to refine their writing. (Prerequisite: TOEFL (pbt) = 450-479 or TOEFL (ibt) 45-53 or IELTS 5.0-5.5 or DUOL = 75-84 or MEPT = 45-55 or CEFR = 51-60, or grade of "B" or better in 10-863-207, IEP Int Reading/Writing 2 or "C" GPA and DUOL = 75-84 or MEPT = 45-55 or CEFR = 51-60, OR instructor approval; Corequisite: 10-863-304, IEP Adv Listening/Speaking 1)
