Course Description

10-605-157 POWER ELECTRONICS 1: DRIVES ...This course provides the opportunity for the student to develop the knowledge, skills, process, and understanding of the power and control circuitry of AC drives and application and troubleshooting of these industrial AC drives (VFD's) to AC induction motors. This course concentrates on the AB PowerFlex 525 Variable Speed Drive. (Prerequisite: 10-664-101, Automation 2)

  • IMPORTANT INFORMATION: TE100 Lab is open Monday 9:30am-7:30pm; Tuesday 9:30am-2:30pm; Wednesday 1:30pm-7:30 pm; Thursday 9:30am-2:30pm. The lab will observe all College closure holidays and breaks.
