QA Lab Math
10-513-113 QA LAB MATH ...focuses on performing the mathematical calculations routinely used in laboratory settings. You will explore the concepts of quality control and quality assurance in the laboratory. (Prerequisite: Accepted into the Medical Laboratory Technician program)
Quantitative Reasoning
10-804-135 QUANTITATIVE REASONING ...This course is intended to develop analytic reasoning and the ability to solve quantitative problems. Topics include logic, probability, descriptive and inferential statistics, linear and non-linear modeling, graphical representation, and functions. The course emphasizes appropriate use of units, dimensions, estimates, mathematical notation, and technology. Radiographic Imaging
10-526-159 RADIOGRAPHIC IMAGING ...introduces radiography students to the process and components imaging. Students determine the factors that affect image quality including contrast, receptor exposure, spatial resolution and distortion. (Prerequisite: Enrolled in Radiography program)
Radiographic Pathology
10-526-189 RADIOGRAPHIC PATHOLOGY...prepares radiography students to determine the basic radiographic manifestations of pathological conditions. Students classify trauma related to site, complications, and prognosis and locate the radiographic appearance of pathologies (Prerequisite: Enrolled in Radiography program)
Radiographic Procedures 1
10-526-149 RADIOGRAPHIC PROCEDURES 1 ...prepares radiography students to perform routine radiologic procedures on various parts of the body including the upper body, hip, pelvis and ankle. Students apply knowledge of human anatomy to position the patient correctly to achieve the desired result. Radiography Clinical 1
10-526-168 RADIOGRAPHY CLINICAL 1 ...this beginning level clinical course prepares radiography students to perform radiologic procedures on patients with extensive supervision and direction. Students apply radiation protection and standard precautions in the production of radiographs in the health care setting while adhering to legal and ethical guidelines. An emphasis of the course is the development of communication and critical thinking skills appropriate to the clinical setting.
