Machine Safety - Certificate
This certificate provides a hands-on experience with the proper industrial installation of wiring and devices. Students will learn about electrical codes and standards. Circuit protection and disconnect installations are covered. Students will also complete labs on key safety devices and how to install and troubleshoot safety circuits.

Course Descriptions
Introduction to machine wiring, including basic documentation, labeling, and wiring practices; an overview of NFPA 79 machinery, safety and installation standards.
Course Typically Offered: Fall SpringIntroduction to the function of commonly used machinery safety devices, wiring of these devices to complete safety circuits, overview of safety system design. (Prerequisite: 10-664-101, Automation 1: Control Logic)
