Construction Electrician Apprenticeship

Qualifications for Apprenticeship

• Education: High school graduates or GED® (submit copy)
• Age: 18 or high school graduate at 17, no maximum
• Industry Test
• License: Valid driver's license (submit copy)
• Application: Numbered application form for electrical industry

Length of Contract

Construction Electrician
- 5 Years of not less than 8,000 on-the-job training (OJT) hours as per Exhibit "A"
- 720 Paid-Related Instruction, (Day School) with additional night school classes as determined by the Committee

Residential Electrician
- 3 Years of not less than 4,800 on-the-job training (OJT) as per Exhibit "A"
- 432 Hours of Paid-Related Instruction, (Day School) with additional night school classes as determined by the Committee

Voice - Data - Video
- 3 Years of not less than 4,800 Hours of on-the-job training (OJT) as per Exhibit "A"
- 432 Hours of Paid-Related Instruction (Day School) with additional night school classes as determined by the Committee

All night school programs require 80% attendance, and several require a final test for credit. Night school classes will be assigned by the respective Joint Apprenticeship Committee (JAC).
