Receiving Financial Aid
Starting college in fall or spring?
If you have completed the FAFSA and received/accepted an aid offer from NWTC’s Financial Aid Office, you may start to receive your grant or loan money in payments (called disbursements) about two weeks after your classes start. You can view your anticipated disbursement dates on your financial aid offer page, located on the student portal.
Enroll in Classes
To register in your program classes, you must first complete the Student Orientation and Registration (SOAR) Online, if applicable.
- Monitor your NWTC email for information and registration dates.
- Register for eight-week sessions 1 and 2 at the same time when possible as this may impact your financial aid.
Tip: Payment is not due when you register for classes; payment is due on the day classes start. Need to drop a class? You have until the day classes start to drop the class without penalty.
