Students, alumni, employers, and community members can benefit from NWTC Career Services
During Wisconsin’s stay at home order, Career Services is ready to help students, alumni, employers and area residents remotely. Career exploration, job search, resume writing and interviewing tips are just some of the services for job seekers—and you don’t need to be a current student.
“We are always committed to providing the highest of quality career resources, and that does not change during these challenging times,” said Jennifer Parks-Tigert, NWTC Career Services manager. “In today’s job search, it is common to have virtual or phone interviews as part of the hiring process. Given the COVID-19 circumstances, services are being delivered in a way to keep the community safe while also providing a very realistic preparation for a job search in 2020. We want people to know they can continue to connect with us to get the help and support they need.”
The Career Services team provides ongoing support, guidance and coaching tailored to each customer. Through assessment, discussion, and getting to know the customer, staff adapt and change the approach to help achieve each person’s goals. Recently, one student wrote: “I had a great experience with my phone interview. The interviewer was impressed with me as an individual.
Thank you so much for all the preparation and boosting my confidence when I doubted myself.”
