The Aspen Institute Names NWTC as a Finalist for $1 Million 2025 Aspen Prize
Signature Recognition Celebrates 10 High-Achieving Community Colleges from Across the Country
NWTC is proud to host the 36th annual Auto Club Car Show, taking place on Sunday, May 5 from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the Green Bay campus. This anticipated event draws thousands of auto enthusiasts across the region, making it one of the largest shows in Wisconsin.
The NWTC Auto Club Car Show, organized by the NWTC Auto Club, serves as a platform for giving back to the community. All proceeds from the event directly support student scholarships and future service-learning projects aimed at benefiting the community.
For nearly 15 years, students of the Auto Club have volunteered their time and skills to refurbish a car that is presented at the annual Car Show. This year, students will present Ecumenical Partnership for Housing with a refurbished Jeep Cherokee, continuing the tradition of giving back to the community.
Over the years, the Auto Club Car Show has supported various organizations, including Greater Green Bay Habitat for Humanity, Disabled American Veterans, Golden House Green Bay, and Brown County Veterans Service Office.
NWTC Automotive Tech Instructor, Brent Westlund, emphasizes the importance of student involvement within the community, stating “Beyond the classroom, our students are not only applying their skills, but they are also shaping our community for the better. Their dedication and meaningful connections throughout this process are invaluable skills they carry forward into their lives and careers.”
