Northeast Wisconsin Technical College appoints Dr. Jennifer Flatt to the role of vice president of student services.
In this position, Dr. Flatt will serve as a member of the College’s executive leadership team where she provides strategic direction for Student Service programs and activities to enhance student success. As part of her role, she oversees enrollment, recruitment & admissions, student development, student support & success, special projects, and regional learning.

Dr. Flatt is an educational leader with over 22 years of experience in teaching and higher education administration. Joining the College in 2019, she served as the Dean of Learning Effectiveness and Early College as well as Dean of NWTC’s Marinette Campus. To date, Dr. Flatt has been a member of the Learning Leadership Team, Deans Council, Senior Leadership, and leads NWTC’s Dream Core Team, a team dedicated to breaking down barriers and ensuring all students have equitable access to higher education.

Dr. Flatt is a published author and has presented at various conferences nationwide on topics like institutional change in higher education, student success initiatives, and effective teaching techniques.
Prior to her time at NWTC, Dr. Flatt was the Associate Dean for Academic Affairs and College Coordinator for Engaging Students in the First Year at UW-Marinette. She was also a faculty member with UW-Marinette and UW-Green Bay.
Dr. Flatt earned her Ph.D. in English from Loyola University in Chicago, M.A. in English with a related field of Spanish from the University of Minnesota-Duluth, and B.A. in English and Spanish from the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire. She has also pursued postdoctoral course work in Spanish literature and culture at the Universidad de San José in Costa Rica.
