Student Ambassadors
Student Ambassadors provide front-line customer service in Student Involvement & International Programs. Primary tasks include triaging customer walk-ins, assisting students with monthly office games, and performing various administrative functions.
Secondary responsibilities include assisting with various co-curricular activities including Welcome Week Orientation and other college events.
Essential Functions
- Provide exceptional customer service to NWTC students, staff, and guests.
- Perform various administrative tasks such as: counting supplies, stuffing folders, alphabetizing name cards, etc.
- Assist with event setup, implementation, and tear down.
- Work all scheduled Week Orientation events.
- Assist with non-Student Involvement events, such as: open houses, registration events, career fairs, and other community-building activities.
Qualifications
- Have a 2.75 GPA or better and maintain this while in the program.
- Be in good academic, financial, and disciplinary standing.
- Must have at least 2 semesters prior to graduating.
- Enrolled in a program at NWTC in a minimum of six units per semester.
- Be interested in developing customer service skills and leadership, public speaking, and event coordination experience.
- Possess strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
- Reliable, flexible and punctual. Available to work on occasional evenings and weekends.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as a member of a team. and facilitate group discussions and present to small and large groups of people within a diverse population.
- Enjoy assisting others and contributing to their success.
