Course Description
47-543-439 CRITICAL THINKING SIM: CV & H...participants will focus on patient care in a simulated environment of the heart failure patient with a history of Non-Hodgkin's Lymphoma based on evidence based practices using BAMC protocols and procedures. The course will be blended with both pre and post course work completed in Blackboard and an in-person simulation and debriefing in the simulation suite.
What will I learn?
- Adopt critical thinking strategies of Divergent Thinking, Reasoning, Clarifying and Reflection in their professional nursing practice.
- Practice through the use of simulated demonstration in a non-threatening NWTC lab environment.
- Review of current BAMC policies and procedures as related to care of the heart failure patient, including interventions and procedures.
- Define, recognize, and encourage critical thinking strategies in both their own practice and their nursing colleagues.
