10-526-254 ECHOCARDIOGRAPHY CLINICAL 1... this assessment is designed to observe the sonographer in the active echocardiography lab, assess competencies learned throughout the echocardiography program journey, and coach the sonographer on opportunities for success. Students are routinely evaluated on professional growth, personal interactions, and technical ability. (Prerequisites: 10-526-252, Adult Echocardiography)

  8. Perform the routine 2D/M-mode and Doppler subcostal views with related measurements in transthoracic echocardiogram with continuous guidance.
  9. Perform the routine 2D/M-mode and Doppler suprasternal notch views with related measurements in transthoracic echocardiogram with continuous guidance.
  10. Perform ventricular systolic dysfunction assessment by two-dimensional and spectral Doppler analysis with continuous guidance.
  11. Perform left ventricular diastolic dysfunction assessment by two-dimensional and spectral Doppler analysis with continuous guidance.
  12. Perform transthoracic echocardiogram to evaluate valvular stenosis (any valve) with continuous guidance.
  13. Perform a transthoracic echocardiogram to evaluate valvular regurgitation (any valve) with continuous guidance.
