10-413-112 ELECTRICITY-BASIC ...this course introduces the fundamental concepts of electricity and electron flow. Emphasis is placed on Ohm’s law, magnetism as it relates to electricity, DC/AC circuits, electrical components, operations of test equipment, and electrical safety precautions.

  1. Explain the structure of an atom and its relationship to electron flow.
  2. Explain the interrelationship of voltage, current, resistance, and power as described by “Ohm’s Law”
  3. Describe the properties of magnetism as it relates to electricity.
  4. Measure the electrical values of voltage, current, and resistance.
  5. Describe the operation of a power distribution system
