10-090-201 ENVIRONMENTAL RECORDKEEPING & GIS ON THE FARM ...recordkeeping, monitoring and inspection programs are key components to determine compliance with animal agriculture permit requirements. Recordkeeping identifies areas requiring inspection, persons for conducting inspections and how inspections will be recorded and submitted. A geographic information systems (GIS) is a very important mapping data management, and analysis tool. A GIS is particularly important in conservation, as it helps us to answer the important questions and meet the many challenges facing our planet and world.
