What will I learn?

  1. Identify classes of jigs, fixtures and tools from a tooling print.
  2. Identify various components on a tooling print.
  3. Locate specific details on a tooling print.
  4. Specify jig and fixture design based on production quantities.
  5. Explain the concept of modular tooling as it relates to industrial manufacturing.
  6. Select common components used for power fixturing setups.
  7. Design and draw a jig or fixture using AutoCAD software to acceptable industry standards.
