Course Description
50-442-524 WELDING APPR TRNG 4 ...the welding apprentice program will prepare participants to build and repair metal components using knowledge of blueprint reading, metallurgy, and layout while applying the major welding processes used by industry.
What will I learn?
- Weld according to FCAW standards and specifications (16 hours)
- Apply metallurgical principles to welding, heat treating, mechanical stresses, fabrication, and assembly work processes (32 hours)
- Rig, lift, and move materials, parts, and finished goods (4 hours)
- Apply distortion control techniques to job setup operations & according to job specifications (4 hours)
- Weld according to GTAW standards and specifications (16 hours)
